More pictures of the Audi A3 convertible

The more pictures I see of it, the less I like it.
And I do love convertibles.

It is hard to tell we are in 2013 when you see things like this. I am sure it will look better without the horrible side skirts and that tasteless color. But still. Where is the style? The flair? Anything?

Engines are what you'd expect . Same 1.8 Liter as in the 2014 Jetta. (Kinda cheezy for an upscale brand...) And the same upgrade to the 2.0.
The S3 version will get 300HP from the 2.0 Liter.

Audi A3 Convertible

Looks pretty real to me, so i assume this is it.
With some ugly side skirt option.

We never got the hatchback based previous convertible version of the A3. This one is based on the new sedan version.
So we will be getting it.

It won't be cheap but should start at well under $40 000, mainly competing with the new BMW 2 series convertible coming out soon as well.

Audi Sport Quattro Concept

 What a nice change: a really nice and modern looking Audi. Something that doesn't look like an A4.

And inside as well. Very simple and modern.

The concept uses a Plug-in Hybrid drive with a total output of 700hp.

Let's hope this designs is a sign of things to come. Not just some crazy over $100 000 limited edition sports car. This could be the next A5. Or an A3 coupe.

Here is the previous Quattro Concept. Which now just seems OK when compared to the new one.
